Cole Spicer's hockey future just got spicy. The Boston Bruins' 2022 fourth round pick hit a major bump in his hockey career. He was expelled from college for academic reasons and may never play professionally again.

Cole Spicer won't be returning to the Bulldogs in 2024-25. The Boston Bruins draft pick from Grand Forks, North Dakota, told @duluthnews that he is leaving Minnesota Duluth and stepping away from hockey for the foreseeable future.
Spicer had a slow start to his college career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth due to mental health issues but the 20 year old showed how much he wants to continue pursuing his dream, finishing last season strong with five goals and nine points in 17 games.
Cole Spicer gets UMD on the board first vs. Western Michigan today after scoring the first goal of his NCAA career last night. Hopefully this sparks a scoring streak for Spicer, who has had a bit of a slow start to college hockey
Spicer is also known as a mature guy off the ice. Hopefully, it's not the last time we see him competing for an NHL job.
Cole Spicer took time to say hi to the fans earlier today. Always been a great kid, he'll be back with UMD this year.
Hockey fans everywhere are hoping for a smooth recovery. Get well soon Cole!
