While most look at the top two or three prospects in the Maple Leafs organization, there are a depth of talented young players ready to one day make their mark, and for 22-year old Roni Horvinen, that time could be near. It almost didn't get to this point however, as he suffered a brutal concussion at development camp a year ago in a clip that was all over hockey social media.
Two injuries in such a short amount of time would be tough for anyone to handle, but for a young prospect just looking to make his name, it became a scary situation, with the native of Finland recently revealing that he believed his career could be over.
The 5-foot-10 center got back on the ice for the Marlies however, tallying a solid 7 goals and 13 points in 37 games played, and with a good season in 2024/25, he could be talked about as a solid NHLer of the future.
