David Pastrnak opens up about his thoughts on the Maple Leafs in their playoff series

The series was one to remember for fans of both teams as the Maple Leafs and Bruins took Game 7 into overtime. It was just a few minutes in when David Pastrnak took off after a dump in beating Ilya Samsonov to lead his team to the second round.

In the European Media tour that is occuring, Pastrnak was asked a number of questions about new teammates Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm, stating he was excited about the new additions and that he felt that Toronto was the better team in that playoff series on paper. He saw the Bruins as the underdogs going against Toronto.

The Leafs were probably the better team both on paper and going into the playoffs. But they dealt with some major injuries to key players such as Nylander and Auston Matthews. That made the difference and helped Boston overcome in the playoffs.

Toronto was also hampered with a lack of offense from the healthy players like John Tavares and Mitch Marner, who Pastrnak blew by in that OT win. The loss contributed to changes on the team roster and behind the bench.

Now with Craig Berube behind the bench for the Leafs, he has some decisions to make with the roster that will take the ice. We will see how the season plays out for the first year Toronto coach.
