During tonight's Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals, a controversial moment occurred when an Edmonton Oilers forward, Connor Brown, was impeded by a referee during his backcheck, leading to a Florida Panthers goal by Niko Mikkola.

In the second period, Niko Mikkola scored for the Panthers, tying the game at 1-1. However, fans noticed that while Connor Brown was backchecking, he was blocked by the linesman. This interference disrupted the Oilers' defensive setup, leaving Mikkola wide open to score.
Mikkola almost scores on Bob... then beats Skinner.
Fun, wild sequence.
Connor Brown late getting back on the Florida goal but you have to give the referee credit for setting a world class pick.
The Oilers will now need to overcome this setback and aim to win Game 2, hoping to tie the series at 1-1 and avoid falling into a tough 2-0 deficit. It's 1-1 after two periods of play as of this writing.
