The Edmonton Oilers fans were under heavy criticism for their antics in game 6, as they disrespected the US National Anthem during Rob Clarke's rendition.
Connor McDavid and the Oilers were back in Edmonton last night with all the momentum. They ended up winning 5-1 against the Panthers and could reverse-sweep them in Florida on Monday night.
However, before the start of last night's game, some Oilers fans made a disrespectful gesture during the singing of the US National Anthem.
Fans chanted "Sergei" during the song to get in Sergei Bobrovsky's head.
"Oilers fans were chanting 'SERGEI' so loud they covered up the US National anthem
Disrespect, or passionate fans?

Here are a few comments from American fans:
"absolute lack of CLASS"
Later, it was added that the vast majority of Oilers fans sang along with the US National Anthem:
"Horrible take. Most Oiler fans sing the American anthem along with the anthem singer. I've been to hundreds of Oiler games, and the anthems are always respected by the vast majority of fans."
Bobrovsky once again struggled last night and allowed three goals on 19 shots. He'll need to be much better if the Panthers want to win game 7.
Then, Stuart Skinner, who'll play the most stressful game of his career, will need to brace himself for Panthers fans who should try to get back at the Oilers for what they did to Bobrovsky in game 6.
