Wild Defender Out Cold After Scary Hit in Preseason Match
Preseason NHL hockey is a time for players to shake that last bit of rust off before the season starts.
For some players, it is also their last opportunity to make and impression and make the team out of camp.
This can sometimes lead to unfortunate injuries as was the case earlier today when Daemon Hunt took an elbow from Tanner Kero, a player who has yet to crack an NHL roster full-time.
About half way through the game Hunt was battling for the puck as he passed behind his own net. Kero can around the net from the other side and appeared to make no effort to get out of Hunt's way, who was looking behind himself as the puck had been played to the far side by another Avalanche player.
Hunt was clearly in a lot of distress immediately but luckily he was able to skate off the ice with the help from his trainers.
