Today the NHL's Department of Player Safety (DoPS) reviewed a hit laid out by New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe. After seeing the hit and meeting with Matt Rempe the DoPS has decided on a proper punishment.

Matt Rempe is no stranger to interactions with the DoPS. He has had several controversial and suspendable plays in his first season in the NHL. In the Rangers' most recent game yet another hit occurred that caught the eye of the DoPS.
