The NHL has reached a verdict about Nikita Kuchervov's quiestionable hit on Montreal Canadiens' defenseman Kaiden Guhle.

In a big 7-4 win, Kucherov scored three points and helped his team earn two valuable points in the stands. Not only did he bring his best scoring abilities, he also brought his physical ones.
In the first period, he landed a big hit on Kaiden Guhle, ending the defenseman's game after only a few minutes on the ice.
A lot of people criticized the hit, but we can clearly see from the video that Kucherov didn't aim at Guhle's head. This explains why he wasn't ejected from the game. However, the refs could've easily given him a minor penalty for boarding.
According to Eric Engels:
"I mean, it's not like Guhle turned at the last second there. He was facing the glass the whole way. In fact, it's when he was turning to get back to sideways that Kucherov turned him back towards the glass and finished his hit. That's boarding..."
Watching the clip, we can understand Engels' opinion, but we also see that Kucherov doesn't deserve a suspension.
Watch it here:
In an update from Engels, we learned that the NHL doesn't plan on punishing Kucherov for the hit.
"Not expecting any supplementary discipline for Nikita Kucherov."
Guhle is one of the best defensemen in Montreal, even at 22 years old. He's constantly sent on the ice against top players, and often keeps them off the scoreboard.
The Canadiens should release an update on Guhle's health soon.
Stay tuned.
