In remembrance of Wilson's contributions, the Toronto Maple Leafs issued a heartfelt statement:
To celebrate his time with the team, they shared nostalgic images of Wilson donning the Leafs' jersey.
A Toronto-born talent, Wilson graced the NHL ice in 287 games, playing for teams such as the Flyers, Maple Leafs, Rangers, Penguins, and Canucks from 1969 to 1979. During his tenure with the Leafs, he secured a record of 17-22-7.
Upon hanging up his skates, Wilson cherished moments with his loved ones and ventured into travel. His final years were spent in the serene surroundings of Utila, Honduras, where he lived until his passing at 75.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wilson's kin and close ones during this sorrowful time.
