The Toronto Maple Leafs moved on from Sheldon Keefe already, and now the team are linked to a trade with Keefe's new team the New Jersey Devils.
Sheldon Keefe played a solid role for the Maple Leafs regular season success, but after another failed playoff run, the young Head Coach was dismissed, but promptly found a new job with the New Jersey Devils.
Not a day after this news was announced to the public, there's already been plenty of speculation about a potential trade between the two teams, with Calle Jarnkrok at the center of speculation.
Keefe loves him and according to @CF_DepthCharts, Curtis Lazar is their current 3RW which is not ideal.
On paper, this deal makes sense for both sides, as the Maple Leafs have plenty of young, quality forward depth with the likes of Bobby McMann, Nick Robertson and Matthew Knies coming through, while the Devils need veterans to fill out their star studded roster.
We've seen former GM Kyle Dubas linked to many Maple Leafs after his departure, so only time will tell whether or not Keefe and the Devils get a deal done, but on paper, this one could be done this summer.
