The insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed that Mitch Marner won't sign a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer.

Many updates emerged from the NHL Combine currently going on in Buffalo. Pierre LeBrun has been busy collecting the latest updates from teams about their offseason plans.
Needless to say, after yet another rough elimination from the playoffs in the first round, the Leafs will be one of the teams to follow closely this summer. Treliving will need to make big decisions, with many free agents seeking new contracts, such as Mitch Marner, Max Domi, and Tyler Bertuzzi.
Unfortunately for fans who hoped to see General Manager Brad Treliving and Mitch Marner reach a deal for a contract extension this summer, it's been reported by Pierre LeBrun that it won't happen.
"There's no interest from the Maple Leafs and Mitchell Marner in discussing an extension this summer."
Treliving showed that he doesn't mind working on deals during the season, as we saw with William Nylander's contract.
As for the possibility of a trade, with Marner's no-trade clause, it would be surprising to see it happen. Also, if Treliving decides to trade him, no teams would agree on a deal without a contract extension in place.
If negotiations are off the table for the summer, it's easy to believe that nothing will happen to Marner before the next season.
Do you think the Maple Leafs will trade Mitch Marner during the next season?
