Ahead of the trade deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs seem to be active on the market, and a new report has indicated they have trade offers for their young stars.

Elliotte Friedman Reveals Leafs Have Been Getting Trade Offers For Cowan, Minten, and Knies

With the Toronto Maple Leafs desperately needing a top defenseman this year, there has been a massive question mark around what new GM Brad Treliving will give up in order to acquire a top blueliner. Now, though, we may have a better idea of what Treliving is not willing to give up.
According to Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been getting offers for young stars Matthew Knies, Easton Cowan, and Fraser Minten, however, Treliving has quickly shut those down.
«The one thing I do know is that people have asked them about Knies, Cowan, and Minten, and they have said no to this point,»

Brad Treliving Will Need To Decide What He Wants To Give Up For Defenseman

If Treliving is not willing to give up one of the Leafs' prospects, and he has stood firm on not wanting to give up their first-round pick next year, the Leafs are limited on the assets they have that would bring in a top defenseman. One of those players, though, is Nick Robertson. Robertson, who has had a great season thus far, has struggled to find a foothold on the Leafs' roster and could be the trade piece that Treliving uses to bring in a defenseman.
We will see how this plays out as the deadline approaches in just a few days.
