Coyotes fans make plea to Oilers fans for home finale at Mullett Arena
Arizona Coyotes fans will have their last chance to see their team play at Mullett Arena tomorrow night, when the team takes on the Edmonton Oilers. They are now asking Oilers fans to wear white as they are attempting a whiteout.
Whiteouts are somewhat of a tradition in professional sports. Whenever a team moves, the fans all wear white as an ode to the team. It sounds as if this tradition will be coming back with the Arizona Coyotes, who are attempting to do a whiteout for the team's final game this Thursday.
Expecting a wild scene Wednesday night, both inside and outside of Mullett Arena. Fans will bring back the "whiteout" tradition, as a proper farewell to the Arizona Coyotes franchise.
The campaign made its way to reddit, where a post from a Coyotes fan explaining the effort was pinned to the top of the page. It simply states that the fans are attempting a whiteout, and asks Oilers fans who will be in attendance to join them is wearing white gear to honor the tradition.
We are attempting to organize a whiteout, I've been to quite a few Oilers vs Yotes games where we've been outnumbered, so I merely ask if you are able to where a white Oilers jersey or gear you would make us all happy.

It will truly be a sad day when we all have to say goodbye to the Arizona Coyotes. They will always have a legacy of failure at the NHL level, but they brought the sport of hockey to an entire generation of Arizona sports fans, including the likes of Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies.
