Matthew Knies is having a solid rookie campaign for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and a recent comment of his is showing that the 21-year old certainly isn't lacking in confidence.

Matthew Knies calls out the Arizona Coyotes

Ahead of his first game in his hometown against the Arizona Coyotes, the former second-round pick wasn't afraid to call the organization and their arena out.
Matthew Knies says he has about 50-60 people going to the game against Arizona «which is probably a section in that arena.»
It's unclear exactly what prompted this response from Knies, as he was likely just making a fun joke at the expense of a team he grew up watching, but it's definitely gone over well for Maple Leafs fans on social media.
The issues surrounding the Arizona Coyotes and their arena certainly isn't a secret, and with no more than 5,000 person capacity at Mullett Arena, it's left them open to plenty of cheap shots.
In his rookie campaign, Knies has tallied 9 goals and 22 points in 52 games played, and is expected to be a huge part of the future of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This is also a homecoming for Auston Matthews, who has played in Arizona several times since coming to the NHL, so while the Coyotes aren't a competitive team, you can bet this has given them plenty of motivation ahead of a big showdown.
