The Boston Bruins dropped game two against Toronto on Monday night, and now the bad news keeps coming as they have lost a key piece of their blue line.

Andrew Peeke was a solid, mid-season pickup for the Boston Bruins, and while he only netted two assists in 15 regular season games played, he's become key to their success on the blue line. Now however, the 26-year old has officially been ruled out for ‘several weeks', meaning his season may now be over.

This is a major blow to the Bruins, and while he could likely return for a second-round series against either Tampa Bay or Florida, the Bruins are in for a fight against the Maple Leafs with the series even at 1-1 going to Toronto.

Now, the team have recalled Mason Lohrei from the Providence Bruins, and after 41 games at the top level this season, this may be his opportunity to permanently cement a spot on the Bruins roster.
