Bruins rival is preparing an offer sheet for Jeremy Swayman

Following Swayman's announcement of not opting for arbitration, word quickly spread of a rival club ready to submit an offer sheet for his services.

Now that Swayman and the Bruins will not be going to arbitration to try and strike a deal, the door is officially open for any team to submit an offer sheet in the hope of acquiring Swayman. The Montreal Canadiens are at the forefront of those discussions,

Now that Linus Ullmark is no longer a member of the Bruins after being traded to the Ottawa Senators, Boston was really counting on Swayman to be their #1 goalie this upcoming season. He has put up stellar numbers over the last few years, with a career record of 85-38, a 2.32 GAA and a save percentage of .921%. Is Montreal ready to crash the party and swoop him up? History says yes they will, as they have already tried to steal Sebastian Aho from the Carolina Hurricanes a few years ago, and they are prepared to do it again.

Swayman sure knows how to win, and the Habs are desperate for a goalie that can carry them and give them a shot at the playoffs. Montreal was unsuccessful in their last offer sheet attempt a few years ago, and may attempt fate a second time, in the hope that it works out this time.
