Patrick Kane shocked the hockey world when he announced the real reason he decided to stick around with the Detroit Red Wings for a second term.
On Monday, Patrick Kane was speaking to the Detroit media for the first time since deciding to re-sign with the Wings, and explained a big reason why he chose to stick around with the team. Kane admitted that he absolutely loves Red Wings broadcaster Ken Daniels, saying the way he calls games gives him the chills.
"Looking back at some of the moments (last season) and some of the calls that Ken Daniels had, I can watch those clips for the rest of my life," said Kane. "The calls he had on some of the goals I scored, those are moments that give you chills. You want to create more of those."
Patrick Kane scored an absolute beauty of an overtime winner last season when he made his return to Chicago, and Daniels was calling that game. If there's one particular call that will live in Kane's memory, it is likely this one.
