Every team in the NHL has a player who is intimidating both in the locker room and on the ice and today former Boston Bruin Jake DeBrusk revealed who that guy was in Boston.

Jake DeBrusk spent the first several years of his NHL career with the Boston Bruins. This summer he will be moving on for the first time after signing in free agency with the Vancouver Canucks.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Jake DeBrusk on a 7-year contract with a $5.5M AAV.
Since signing with the Vancouver Canucks Jake DeBrusk has spoken to the media multiple times. First, he confirmed reports that he had requested trades out of Boston not once but twice.
Jake Debrusk said he requested a trade out of Boston two separate times
Today he spoke again and this time he revealed which of his former teammates intimidated him the most to be around both in practice and during games.

Jake DeBrusk confirms former Bruins captain Zdeno Chara is terrifying

While speaking to the media Jake DeBrusk was asked about his time in Boston. He brought up stories about several former teammates including former captain Zdeno Chara in which he was intimidated and scared around the 6'9 monster of a defenseman when he first arrived in Boston.
Super calm demeanor. Like such a nice guy and I love Z, but at the beginning, you're intimidated. You are straight up intimidated seeing Z for the first time,» DeBrusk recalled when he appeared on «The Cam & Strick Podcast» on Tuesday. «I remember the first time I saw him on the ice; it was even more intimidating. We had a one-on-one drill, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I don't even know how to attack this guy right now.' It's like I never seen anything like (him) at the time, but you get used to it as time goes on.

He goes on to talk about Zdeno Chara asking Jake DeBrusk to tip pucks shot from the point by Zdeno Chara. For anyone who remembers how hard Zdeno Chara could shoot this request in itself is incredibly terrifying.
He brought out like 15 pucks and started bombing shots and told me to stay there, DeBrusk recalled. I got a couple of pieces of a couple and stuff, but I was like, ‘Oh my God.' And he started laughing at me at the end. That just goes to show what kind of guy he is, even in

While it sounds like Jake DeBrusk was indeed scared of Zdeno Chara in the beginning the two seemed to go on and develop a great relationship. He will now be able to take those skills and experiences with him to the Vancouver Canucks.
