Former Top 10 Pick Gets Placed on Waivers

The Buffalo Sabres have placed Center Tyson Jost on waivers, according to Sportsnet Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman. Also placed on waivers was Goalie Michael Hutchinson by Detroit.

Jost, taken 10th Overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, is in his 2nd year with Buffalo, and has 2 Goals and 4 Points in 29 Games for the Sabres this season.
Jost originally played parts of 6 seasons with Colorado following his NCAA tenure with the University of North Dakota, before being traded to the Minnesota Wild for Nico Sturm. Buffalo acquired Jost off Waivers from the Wild in 2022.
Since coming to the NHL in the 2016-17 season, in 442 NHL Games, Jost has a career 56 Goals, 82 Assists & 138 Points. Currently, Jost is in the final year of a one-year, $2M contract with the Sabres.
