In a recent interview, Flames' goaltender Jacob Markstrom took a shot at the Calgary Flames management for how they've handled trade rumours this season.
Markstrom Says Things Could Have Been Handled Better From the Top in Recent Interview
The Calgary Flames have been the NHL's shopping mall this year, with what seems like every player being up for grabs on their roster as they clean house for a complete rebuild. With that, it is hard to stay unified as a team from a player's perspective.
Now, Jacob Markstrom, someone who ahs been featured in the trade rumours, has called out the Flames management for how they've handled the trade situation this season, saying that the whole thing could have been handled better from the top.
I think everyone in here, every player in here, I really respect everything that's been going on and not going on. How everyone in this room have handled everything, I think it's been really good. The whole situation and everything, am I happy about that? No, I'm not. And I think it could've been handled a lot different from up top.
Things Are Not Going Well in Calgary As the Flames Clean House
The Calgary Flames are going through what every team at the outset of their rebuild goes through, which is a full-on garage sale of their assets and a clean house in management. With Brad Treliving leaving this offseason, it was hard to expect much else would happen.
Despite this, the Flames still sit in the middle of the pack in the standings. Hopefully, whatever group remains after the deadline will be a solid foundation for Flames fans to get behind as they rebuild.
