The Chicago Blackhawks lost two key players during their last game against the New Jersey Devils. Both Connor Bedard and Nick Foligno left the game and are now on the injured reserve.

To help their teammates cope with their absences, the organization decided to name a new alternate captain.

Blackhawks Name New Alternate Captain

In a video shared on X, the Blackhawks announced that Philipp Kurashev was named as the new alternate captain of the team.
Kurashev was drafted in 2018 by the Blackhawks, with the 120th overall pick.
This season, he scored 22 points, including 7 goals, in 32 games.
The players can certainly use the leadership boost, with two of their most important players sidelined.
Do you think the Blackhawks will win without Bedard and Foligno?
