The NHL has come to its verdict regarding Cale Markar, and it doesn't look good for the Avalance. Colorado will have to adjust without their all-star defenseman.
Makar Suspended for One Game
Cale Makar received a minor penalty in last night's game against Seattle after he made a dangerous hit on Jared McCann. The league announced that Makar would have a hearing for the play, and announced this afternoon that Makar would be sitting out one game as a result of the play.
The official reasoning for the suspension was listed as "interference", and unfortunately for Colorado, their Norris winning defenseman will have to watch from the press box.
