Earlier today the Columbus Blue Jackets and Johnny Gaudreau joined together to provide a major update on an event in Johnny Gaudreau's life. Gaudreau happily announced that he and his wife Meredith expanded their family with the birth of their son on Thursday.
Congratulations to Johnny and Meredith Gaudreau on the birth of their second child. Johnny Edward Gaudreau was born in Columbus on Thursday at 7:11 p.m. (20 in. / 7 lbs., 11 oz.). Mom, both Johnnys and big sister, Noa, are all doing well. #CBJ

Gaudreau despite the birth of Johnny Jr. was on the ice for the Blue Jackets contest against the Buffalo Sabres tonight. In recent weeks Gaudreau has been on an absolute tear with 11 points in his last 10 games. However, the Blue Jackets did fall to the Sabres tonight 2-1.
