Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars and his wife Kate have just received some huge life-altering news, as they revealed they are expecting their first ever child.
Seguin made the announcement on his Instagram that he and his wife Kate would be expecting their very first baby in the winter. The exact month seems to be January. Kate and Tyler got married last summer, and they ended up writing a joint post online that read: "Half of you & half of me. Baby Seguin arriving January 2025".
When the puck drops in October for the regular season, Seguin will be beginning his 15th year in the league, with 12 of those coming with the Stars. He is looking to continue where he left off last season, where he put up 52 points in 68 games. He also did very well in the playoffs, tying his career-high in points with 13.
Miro Heiskanen, defenseman of the Stars, was the most recent player of the team to announce he and his wife were expecting a child, as he had shared it through an online post where his wife was pictured holding her baby bump tummy. Seguin is now the team's newest father, following in Heiskanen's footsteps.
Hockey fans are looking forward to meeting baby Seguin in January, and all of the biggest congratulations in the world go out to Tyler and Kate!
