The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions for the first time in franchise history, setting off a wild celebration in South Florida!

As part of the celebration, Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron Ekblad brought the Stanley Cup to Ft. Lauderdale Beach, creating a moment Cats fans will never forget.
🏆JUST NOW! Matthew Tkachuk and Aaron Ekblad bring the Stanley Cup onto Ft Lauderdale Beach and BAPTIZE it in the Ocean!!
These two stars took their triumph to the next level by baptizing the iconic trophy in the Atlantic Ocean, to the sheer delight of fans and beachgoers. It wasn't just a symbolic gesture; it was a testament to the Panthers' deep connection with their community and appreciation for the support throughout the glory season. It wasn't always easy on the road to the town becoming a hockey hotbed. A decade ago, Ekblad and other players were sent to the mall on off days, offering any citizens with a state drivers license free tickets to games.
10 years later, these three are all Stanley Cup Champions for the first time on the same team.
They were the laughingstock and an afterthought in the Sunshine State. No longer is that the case.

Also in the video is the championship belt which was a new addition to the celebration by the NHL.
Matthew Tkachuk was nice enough to take off the WWE NHL Title before taking the Stanley Cup for swim in the Atlantic Ocean 😭
If the Panthers win in the near due, ocean baptisms could become a new tradition for them. Regardless, the franchise and fanbase has waited 31 years, with most of these players having dreamt for years since they were toddlers what it would be like to win the Cup.
«I'm not here to wear flip flops and swim in the ocean I'm here to win.» -Matthew Tkachuk, the newest @FlaPanthers, when I talked to him this morning.

You'll get the whole conversation tomorrow! #FlaPanthers
It became a reality in the most dramatic way possible, winning 2-1 in Game 7, after blowing a 3-0 series lead against the Edmonton Oilers.

And if that wasn't enough, the Cup made its way to the Elbo Room this morning, and we even spotted Tkachuk and Ekblad on a golf cart.
The Cup traveled this morning in the official vehicle of Florida the golf cart 😂
