A moment during the Minnesota Wild versus Las Vegas Golden Knights game has gone largely under the radar and might result in Ryan Hartman being suspended.

At the end of the Wild versus Golden Knights game last night, Ryan Hartman was heated. The officials on the ice missed a high stick near the end of the game, which Hartman believed should have resulted in a penalty and an additional chance for the Wild to win the game in regulation. When that didn't happen, Hartman got so upset that he was ejected from the game with a 10-minute misconduct. The Knights would go on to win in overtime on an empty net.
Ouch.
The interaction between Hartman and officials wasn't caught on camera, however, Michael Russo detailed the incident on social media, stating that the League will be looking into the incident.
Not sure to what extent (fine or worse), but sounds like #mnwild's Ryan Hartman will be hearing from the NHL for his misconduct at game's end. I didn't see it, but apparently he chucked his stick in the refs' direction. He was incensed bc he was high-sticked by Noah Hanifin in final minute of regulation. Not sure how it was missed.
This is a serious offence, and if the league does find that Hartman threw his stick in the direction of officials, then he could be subject to a suspension of up to 3 games. There was already one controversial call made during the game on the Golden Knights. Knowing how much the League protects its officials, it's not hard to imagine them upholding this rule. The rule says the following:
"Any player who, by his actions, physically demeans an official or physically threatens an official by (but not limited to) throwing a stick or any other piece of equipment or object at or in the general direction of an official, shooting the puck at or in the general direction of an official, spitting at or in the general direction of an official, or who deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall be suspended for not less than three (3) games." - NHL rule 40.4

We will wait and see the result of the League's hearing and if they side with their Officials.
