It appears as though there are three teams remaining at the forefront to acquire top NHL goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov of the Nashville Predators.

Juuse Saros, all-star goalie for the Preds, has just been re-signed to a monstrous long-term deal, essentially locking him in as the number one goalie of the future for Nashville. Following this signing, top goalie prospect Askarov demanded a trade.
The Nashville Predators have received numerous calls on goalie Yaroslav Askarov in the last 24 hours in the wake of the Juuse Saros extension news. The Preds are willing to move him but have set a high price they feel is warranted. Nashville would like to move into the top 5 of the first round tonight via an Askarov trade. So far there hasn't been a fit. But the Preds will keep talking to teams.
Ryan Dixon of Sportsnet has revealed that the three teams that are very serious in acquiring Askarov are the Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks.

It now appears that a last minute fourth addition with interest has been added to the mix, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Now that Yaroslav Askarov has requested a trade, could a good fit be the Toronto Maple Leafs?

The former 11th overall pick had a .943 save percentage in two NHL games last season, and a .911 in 44 AHL appearances.

Can Brad Treliving pull it off?
Things are really heating up, and it's only a matter of time before Askarov gets his trade wish granted.
