New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette's new rule about hotel arrivals is making waves among fans.

According to goaltender Igor Shesterkin, Laviolette has instituted a strict policy requiring players to be at the hotel four hours before game time
to avoid any potential fines.
Shesterkin noted nobody has been fined yet. But he follows the rule diligently, partly because he likes to rest in the afternoon.
It's a tough-love approach, but it's necessary. «We've never had anyone fined, but there have been a few close calls. Personally, I always stick to the rule because I prefer to get some rest during the day.
So if a Rangers' game at Madison Square Garden start at 7 p.m, you should see players entering Manhattan by 3 p.m. to steer clear of any penalties. The rule is designed to ensure that players aren't caught in traffic and arrive on time.
For Laviolette, it's one that makes sense in the bustling New York City environment. Coaches and players stay focused and avoid the distractions of the city, ensuring they're game-ready and can put on a show for the fans.
