Despite being traded by the San Jose Sharks this past summer, Karlsson is on the trade block again according to the rumour mill, with chatter that the Ottawa Senators could be interested in a big time reunion.
In a recent interview, Karlsson was asked by the Penguins media if he had heard the chatter and what he made of it, and his reaction was hilarious.
Karlsson would go on to joke about how the Canadian media had so much time to fill but not enough to talk about, doing so with a big smile on his face. The former three-time Norris Trophy winner was one of the most decorated players in Senators history, and with his old teammate Daniel Alfredsson behind the bench now, plenty of people have made the connection.
With the Penguins likely looking for a rebuild or a re-tool this upcoming off-season, it would make sense if they looked to move Karlsson again, and whether it's the Senators or another team in need of a puck moving blue liner, there should be plenty of interest in the 34-year old.
