The Ottawa Senators struggled on the ice last season, and now it appears the NHL are pushing them into major changes with their arena as well.

Things haven't exactly been going as the Ottawa Senators would have loved in recent years, with the team needing to surrender a first-round pick in the next three years, and with the turnover in the front office, they've been effected on the ice. Despite landing Jakob Chychrun to go along with Tim Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk and other solid young stars, the team has just struggled, and now the NHL has pointed out major issues with their arena.
The Sens got complaints from the league about their ice lighting 😬. Will be even brighter next season.
According to a surprising report, the Senators had complaints from the league throughout the year that their on-ice lighting wasn't good enough, so when the 2024-25 season begins, expect it to be much brighter. It's unclear what the team on the ice will look like given their rumoured involvement in trade scenarios with Jacob Markstrom or moving someone like Chychrun, but there will be at least one change.
After years of struggle, it appears there may be some stability with new ownership and a solid plan moving forward, so with improvements to the arena, this could be a solid team in years to come.
