The Philadelphia Flyers have a talented group moving forward, but according to a report, they may do so without a potentially huge piece of their future.

After finally making it to North America in 2023/24, the Philadelphia Flyers No. 78 overall pick from the 2021 NHL Draft may not be staying long, as reports have now emerged that Alexei Kolosov is wanting his former KHL team Dynamo Minsk to help him get out of his NHL contract.
Alexei Kolosov asked Dinamo-Minsk to solve the issue with the termination of his contract in the NHL.
The 22-year old spent five years with the team before making his AHL debut with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms this last season, but just weeks away from training camp, he may now be turning away from the NHL. Fortunately for Flyers fans, it appears as though the team are aware of the reports, and have revealed that they believe it's just a little homesickness with the organization confident that he won't go through with the move back home.
I'm hearing Flyers are not aware of anything regarding Alexei Kolosov going back to KHL. The belief is he was homesick and the hope is he'll be OK.

Kolosov, 22, is under contract and played in KHL on loan this season. He joined Phantoms in April.
Kolosov remains under contract with the Flyers, and if his development continues, he could be a genuine shot to play significant NHL games next season, so now we simply have to wait and see how this intriguing situation plays out.
