The Pittsburgh Penguins, led by President Kyle Dubas, just brought on board their former captain, Jaromir Jagr!
Yet Jagr's not leaving his Czech roots behind. He's going to be working his magic for the Penguins from home while he keeps rocking it with his own team, HC Kladno.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly working on hiring legendary winger Jaromír Jágr to their front office, shares Rob Rossi of The Athletic in an interview with Penguins' President of Business Operations, Kevin Acklin.
Acklin shared that the team is ready to enter a «new chapter» after Jágr's retirement ceremony in February. The team has been working on recruiting Jágr ever since, recently making an extra push while visiting Prague for the World Championship.
The Czech hero not only led the Penguins back in the day but also had the honor of sharing the ice with both Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby. Even though he's still out there playing, professional hockey in his 50's, hence why he's not in the hall of fame yet, there's chatter that he might swing back to North America once he hangs up his skates for good.
