San Jose Sharks GM Mike Grier let a big hint slip about their NHL draft plan with the first overall pick.
He mentioned he'd meet with Macklin Celebrini, his family, and his representatives after the Draft to decide on next steps. Then he paused and said, «Did I say Macklin?»

The Draft isn't until next Friday June 28th, but it looks like Grier has already tipped his hand on who San Jose will pick.
Mike Grier's running dad joke comedy bit where he *accidentally* catches himself confirming Macklin Celebrini to the Sharks will never not be funny.😂

This isn't a huge shock since Celebrini, the 17-year-old phenom and this year's Hobey Baker Award winner from Boston University, is the consensus top pick and a generational talent. Still, it's amusing to see Grier accidentally reveal his choice 11 days before draft day. Even more funny is new Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky giving his thoughts on the pick and revealing his development plan for the stud.
Grier and Warsofsky on how they will approach Macklin Celebrini's development ... if he's the No. 1 overall selection 😅
