In breaking news, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed third goaltender Martin Jones on waivers today.

As reported by Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed goaltender Martin Jones on waivers today. This was expected, as Toronto has been going with Samsonov as their starter and Woll as their backup.

Jones has signed this offseason as a safety net in case Samsonov or Woll either underperform or get into injury trouble. Now, we will see whether or not Jones is claimed by a team like Tampa looking for a goalie.
