The Toronto Maple Leafs lost their fourth straight game on Tuesday night against the Edmonton Oilers, and now they've cancelled their practice ahead of another big showdown.
Sheldon Keefe surprisingly cancels practice
Despite the loss, the Maple Leafs decided to cancel their main practice on Wednesday ahead of a clash with the Calgary Flames, and instead saw just their extras and coach Sheldon Keefe on the ice.

Given their struggles as of late, the Maple Leafs cancelling practice is an interesting call, and it appears that Keefe made the move in order to keep his players fresh with a tough road trip coming up.
"We just finished playing five games in eight nights, four in the last six, & we got three in four coming starting tomorrow night & this all coming off of a California trip, so it's been a challenge"
The team reportedly still had their meetings, so it wasn't a complete loss of a day, but with their four-game losing skid, every move the organization makes will be under a microscope.
