Brad Treliving Shares an Update on the Hockey Future of Jake Muzzin
According to the GM of the Maple Leafs, defenseman Jake Muzzin will remain on LTIR for the remainder of the season and likely his career. He is suffering from a long-term spinal injury and the odds are against him playing in the NHL ever again.
He last played on October 17, 2022 and was only able to suit up for a total of four games this past season in Toronto.
Muzzin won't play this year
Muzzin has had a strong career
Muzzin has played 683 games in the NHL between the Los Angeles Kings and Maple Leafs. In his career that spanned over a decade, he won a Stanley Cup with the Kings in 2014 and was an integral part of both franchises for many years.
Over that time he scored 69 goals and 294 points and played in 72 playoff games.
