Kevin Bieksa was not happy with Sheldon Keefe on Saturday and took his time on Sportsnet / Hockey Night in Canada to publically call him out.

Sheldon Keefe's new plan for defense mistakes

Earlier in the day head coach Sheldon Keefe created a new standard for the team, and that would be more discipline for defensive mistakes. Many on social media, and sitting in television booths, were not happy with this new idea.
Sheldon Keefe says there is going to be «less tolerance» for defensive mistakes going forward and cites David Kampf as a scratch as an example of that tonight. Pontus Holmberg will draw in.
Less tolerance for defensive play can be a good thing for a team like Toronto that usually seems to have an accountability problem. The proof in this new idea will be if it applies to any star players that can have a lackadaisical game or back check.

Bieksa not happy with Keefe preaching accountability

During a segment on Hockey Night in Canada former NHL defenseman Kevin Bieksa lit in to Leafs Head Coach Sheldon Keefe for his new plan and the actions of accountability.
"It's another excuse we're making for the goaltending. It's another bad goal by Samsonov."

Bieksa obviously places the blame squarely on the goaltender.
"You're picking the wrong guy. You're picking Kampf, a guy who is your number one defensive center who makes a million great defensive plays on a team with a lot of guys that don't make a lot of great plays with the puck."

Bieksa was not happy the defensive centre was being held accountable for a defensive mistake.
"How many turnovers have there been tonight? Has the message been sent? Or is it just we are gonna pick on this one guy and hopefully everyone else gets in line?"

It is clear Bieksa did not think this was fair to single out Kampf like this. Was he just playing favourites with the player, or type of player? Or does he not think this standard will be held to other bigger fish in the pond?
In the end we will all have to wait and see how this plays out and if any other Leafs will be held accountable like Kampf was.
