Following the Toronto Maple Leafs' 6-5 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night, former NHL referee Tim Peel took to Twitter to create some reactive click-bait material.

Apparently, Peel believes that Samsonov is a terrible goalie and that he ought to return to Russia, based on his tweets.
Peel does not believe Toronto possesses any credible defensemen either. Toronto's defense has always been criticized by many in the Toronto internet community, usually quite unfairly.

The Athletic has also come on board saying that the Leafs should move on as writer Jonas Siegel suggested they cannot play Samsonov any longer.
It is safe to say there is a lot of frustration in Leaf-land with how the team is playing, even as they spot a 17-9-7 record.
