Auston Matthews explained his his post-game press conference why the Toronto Maple Leafs lost the first match of the series against the Bruins, last night in Boston.

The Leafs not only lost, they got destroyed. The defensemen couldn't stop the Bruins, and the forwards couldn't beat Jeremy Swayman.
Even if he had one of the best chance of the night, Matthews couldn't capitalize, and the Bruins scored their second goal of the night right away.
"Auston Matthews chose not to score on an empty net so Morgan Rielly wouldnt get mad at him"
Despite that major blunter, he believes it's the "little mistakes" that cost the game.
Check out his full statement here:
"I mean, I can think of a couple things. Obviously, too many penalties. I think. you give a team like that many opportunities on the man advantage, they're going to capitalize. And, you know, I thought started out pretty good game, and then, you know, just little mistakes. They're a very patient team and they executed on the mistakes that we made. It's a game of inches.

You know, we get a taste of what the series is all about here in this game. And, you know, we just continue to elevate our game and continue, continue to put our best foot forward and get better."

Do you think the Leafs will win game two in Boston?
