Morgan Rielly was suspended five games for cross-checking Ottawa's Ridly Greig, he choose to appeal the suspension and Gary Bettman has just released his verdict.
Bettman Chooses To Hold Reilly's Suspension At 5 Games Despite Appeal
Rielly appealed the suspension in order to try and lessen the amount of games that he would have to miss but Bettman has chosen to keep the suspension at five.
Morgan Rielly's five-games suspension has been affirmed by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.
He's eligible to return to the #leafs lineup on Thursday.
Despite being without Morgan Rielly the Leafs are 4-0-0 and have looked like a much more complete team. Morgan Rielly will return to the lineup against the Vegas Golden Knights.
