TJ Brodie has had a solid run in Toronto, but after struggling with injuries and his play in 2023-24, it appears he may be done with the Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have some massive upgrades to complete this summer, and according to all reports, it appears the blue line is the position they will look to address more than any others. On that same note, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has now officially revealed that Toronto will indeed let veteran defenseman TJ Brodie walk as a free agent in the coming weeks.
As #LeafsForever assess HC options, roster decisions could begin soon after a coach is hired. I'm told they've expressed interest in bringing back Tyler Bertuzzi. However, one player not likely back is TJ Brodie, who's expected to test the UFA market.
On top of that, some rumours have begun circulating that the team could be potentially moving Morgan Rielly as well, so with such a talented group up front, it appears Toronto is fully focused on bolstering their blue line this summer, which could be a game changer for next season along with a brand new Head Coach.
