NHL insider Jeff Marek revealed on his podcast the untouchables for the Toronto Maple Leafs core four this offseason.

Following the Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment CEO Keith Pelley, Toronto Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan and the team general manager Brad Treliving addressing the media, there is rampant speculation on who is staying and who is going.
While they didn't specifically address who stays and who goes this offseason, according to NHL insider and household name podcaster, Jeff Marek, Morgan Reilly, John Tavares and Mitch Marner are on the table while Auston Matthews and William Nylander are the untouchables.
This will only put a hefty amount of litres worth of gasoline onto this already heated fire. Shanahan and the team believed in this core until the wheels fell off of it completely, and it seems the wheels were supposed to fall off years ago.
Backing up to last summer, it seems before Kyle Dubas was fired, he wanted more autonomy to make trades and it seems that Brendan Shanahan was incredibly hard to get ahold of at times.
It seems as if Brendan Shanahan is going to be more involved in the day-to-day operations now as the Toronto Maple Leafs need to shake things up, something Kyle Dubas reportedly attempted to do.
