Although Joel Quenneville has not yet been reinstated to the NHL by Gary Bettman after his involvement in the Chicago Blackhawks scandal, he would still gladly accept an offer to coach the Toronto Maple Leafs if the opportunity arose.
Quenneville, who was coaching the Florida Panthers at the time of his ban, was part of many Chicago Blackhawks personnel that had very little to say about a serious scandal that occurred during their 2010 Stanley Cup run, resulting to some of these personnel being suspended by the commissioner.
Although it has only been two days since Sheldon Keefe was let go from his position as head coach, rumours have been flying around Toronto as to who the next head coach will be, and Quenneville seems to have put his hat in the ring.
Quenneville will most likely not be reinstated to coach, and therefore the likelihood of him coaching the Maple Leafs is slim. Craig Berube is the rumoured favourite right now to become the next head coach in Toronto.
