The Toronto Maple Leafs struggled all over the ice in game four, falling to 3-1 in the series, and now they've made a big change as they look to save their season.
Throughout their first round series against the Boston Bruins, Sheldon Keefe and the Maple Leafs have been outmatched at every stage, and now they're trying some big changes to shake things up. First, it was the reveal that Joseph Woll will likely be the starter in game five, but they've also made another move, with Timothy Liljegren sliding back into the lineup for veteran TJ Brodie.
It looks like Timothy Liljegren will go back in for the Leafs in Game 5, replacing TJ Brodie.
This move makes total sense for Toronto, as the veteran Brodie graded out as the worst player in their 3-1 loss in game four that has them just one game away from elimination.
On the road in game five, the Maple Leafs are up against the odds, and after just one goal at home in game four, they're hoping for more offense all over the ice, with Liljegren expected to provide some spark on the back end. Ultimately though, they're a major underdog, and if their stars don't perform, they have no chance, so they will be hoping things all over the lineup can turn around in a must-win game five.
