The Leafs had hoped to retain Bellows, who was a bit of a project for the organization last year. Bellows has yet to find his stride in the NHL, having played only 95 games since his draft year.
The #Preds signed another depth piece today in forward Kieffer Bellows, who was a first-round pick in 2016. It's a one-year, two-way deal worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
He racked up AHL career highs in goals (27), assists (22) and points (49) in 2023-24.
He also scored 27 goals and had 49 points in 52 games with the Marlies last season.
