The Toronto Maple Leafs future includes some very talented names, but as of June 1st, they may be letting go of a player full of potential in Brandon Lisowsky.
With 80 goals in his last 133 games in the WHL, Lisowsky certainly has the talent, but with his smaller stature standing at 5-foot-9, there's questions over his future at the next level. What can't be denied is his talent however, but with his exclusive rights being up if not signed by this weekend, the Maple Leafs may lose one of their most intriguing names.
Leaving it this late isn't a great sign for the Maple Leafs, but given his consistent rise in production, if they can find a way to develop a former seventh-round pick, it could be a huge bonus for this team moving forward, whether they see him as a future NHLer or a piece to use in a big time trade.
