The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a significant move this offseason by hiring Craig Berube as their new head coach. However, the rest of the coaching staff remains uncertain.

Last season, the team had Guy Boucher, Mike Van Ryn, Dean Chynoweth, and Manny Malhotra behind the bench. With Malhotra heading to Vancouver, Chynoweth's contract status unclear, and Boucher's struggles with the power play, it's likely we'll see a different coaching lineup under Berube next season. While Van Ryn might stay, nothing is set in stone.

Elliotte Friedman adds two more names to the Maple Leaf assistant coach search

Recently, Marc Savard was linked to the Leafs, especially after parting ways with the Calgary Flames. On Wednesday, Mike Yeo, a GTA native, expressed his desire to work closer to home, making him another potential candidate for the Leafs. Now, Elliotte Friedman added Brad Lauer and Lane Lambert to the list of possible coaching staff members for Toronto.
Lauer brings nine years of NHL coaching experience and a WHL Championship with the Edmonton Oil Kings in 2022. Lambert, previously an assistant and associate coach for Nashville, Washington, and Long Island, was the New York Islanders' head coach until this season. Both have extensive experience and could be valuable additions to Berube's staff. However, the Leafs are exploring many options, so the final coaching team remains to be seen.
