The Toronto Maple Leafs have made some solid additions this off-season, with John Klingberg, Ryan Reaves and Max Domi being added to the squad, but it appears it's the latter that has brought the most excitement.
Former teammates
After playing together back in 2014-15 for the London Knights, Mitch Marner and Domi are once again reunited, and considering their success last time they played together, this has got them both fired up.
In their final season for the Knights, Marner and Domi combined for 226 points on the season, and while that's likely not going to happen again, Marner has spoken out on his excitement while sitting down at the latest 'Marner All-Star Invitational' charity event.
In that sit-down interview, Marner has expressed just how excited he is about Domi both on and off the ice;
It's great! Max is a great player. But, just as important, he's a [heck] of a human being off the ice as well. I saw it firsthand in junior in both those cases. And it's going to be great for our team to have someone like that on it.
Given all the talent this team has up front, another veteran addition is a smart move, and if this team can get anywhere near Domi's 56 points from a season ago, it's safe to say that this will be a great partnership for both sides.
