Many thought Elias Lindholm was going to be the massive splash the Vancouver Canucks made this season, but it turns out Nikita Zadorov has had a bigger impact.

Zadorov has had an excellent run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Canucks, posting 8 points in 11 games, while also providing the physicality that he has become known for in the NHL.
According to rumours, Zadorov has played himself into a huge pay raise this off-season, as he will become a UFA on July 1st. Many teams will be vying for his services as a physical, hard to play against D-man who can provide offence if need be.
The Toronto Maple Leafs had interest in Zadorov when he played for the Calgary Flames, but ended up acquiring Joel Edmundson instead when Zadorov was traded to Vancouver.
Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has connections with Zadorov, as he was formerly the Flames GM, although Zadorov may have priced himself out of Toronto's budget with his strong play.
