The Toronto Maple Leafs promised big changes after another failed playoff appearance, and now we may see another big move on the way.
Over the past few weeks, all the attention in Toronto has been on Mitch Marner, but with the team needing shakeups at more than one position, don't count out a different blockbuster. According to a recent report, the Maple Leafs are eyeing a trade with the San Jose Sharks, centered around Mario Ferraro and promising Leafs defenseman Timothy Liljegren.

It's unclear who else would be involved in the trade to make it work, but it's clear that the Maple Leafs need a change on the blue line, and if they were to move Liljegren, it would open space for a free agent or another trade piece to play a prominent role. If they can't find a way to make a deal, Liljegren could always be a player that's back in 2024-25, and with the Maple Leafs needing help on ther blue line, absolutely anything could happen in the coming months.
